UN Women International Day of Elimination of Violence Against Women Hashtag [1]
According to the United Nations, femicide is the intentional killing with a gender-related motivation, femicide may be driven by stereotyped gender roles, discrimination towards women and girls, unequal power relations between women and men, or harmful social norms. The Counterterrorism Group (CTG) monitors, tracks, and analyzes various trends and patterns of violence against women. CTG created this infographic based upon UN Women facts and statistics on femicide.
